New Music Friday - Brooke Fraser

Brooke Fraser has had an amazing career since she started singing back in 2000.  A prodigy from the Hillsong United camp, she has released two albums thus far.  A new record is in the works for later this year.

Brooke has toured with both David Bowie and John Mayer back in her "neck-of-the-woods" Australia and New Zealand.

Her first record, What to Do With Daylight, came out in 2003 and went 7 times platinum (in the Australian region).  She has sold more than 100,000 units in New Zealand alone.  In face, her record was the second best selling record in 2004 just behind Hayley Westenra's Pure.  Not bad at all.

Albertine, Brooke's second record hit the streets in 2006 (in NZ, 2007 internationally) with much acclaim and anticipation.    Although neither of her albums are worship records, they do proclaim a sense of one stepping into the light of God.  They are spiritual and they are Christian.  They are filled with hope and a hunger for justice.  They are gospel-centered.
